My name is Gloria and I bring you a modern dance/fitness exercise program that has taken off around the world! Why Zumba of course!
We all know the lazy 'can't be bothered' connotation that comes with the word 'Exercise', but do not worry! The majority of my clients don't have six pack abs or that Miranda Kerr model figure (yet), we are not training to be in the Olympics or enter the weight lifting competitions, we are your average Australians seeking a fun and effective way to burn calories - so fun it doesn't even feel like 'exercise'!
There is Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Hip Hop, Tango, Merengue, Bollywood, Soca. World-style music and dancing with an endless variety of options each time in class, so exercise is never boring.
Let me tell you a bit more about myself:
I am passionate about health and fitness, body and spirit, especially for the older active adult and youth with disabilities. I have been around the block so-to-speak, I was a Jazzercise instructor while keeping a full time job as a veterinarian and researcher. My area of expertise is in Pathology and very knowledgeable about disease processes and prevention. Thus my dedication to the Zumba program. After my very first Zumba class, I was hooked and could not get enough, so then decided to teach Zumba. After all, 200,000 people world-wide, weekly cannot be wrong! I love the freedom of movement, music and dance in every Zumba class not to mention the joy and contentment that follows for days and weeks afterwards. It is my lifestyle. I say keep fit, fun, funky and foxy even at fifty! No matter what age or stage in life.
